Daniel was on staff from 2014 to 2020 with Building Bridges Art Exchange, an international nonprofit arts organization located in Santa Monica, California. During his tenure, Daniel Schuster worked with the gallery director at all levels, and has curated and developed exhibitions as the coordinator for Special Exhibitions and Development; he was also on the Board of Advisors.

The LA Art Show Announces Special Presentations For Groundbreaking Slate of Latin-American Exhibitions
In August of 2015, Daniel Schuster initiated the project, SYNAESTHESIA: What is the Taste of the color blue? With the support of Executive Director, Marisa Caichiolo, Daniel initiated collaborations with Dr. Sean A. Day, current President of the International Association of Synaesthetes, Artists and Scientists (IASAS) and Victoria Vesna, Director of Art Sci Center at UCLA.
Daniel was also one of the three founding members of the nonprofit organization, the International Association of Synaesthetes, Artists, and Scientists (IASAS) and served as its first Artistic Director from June of 2016 to April of 2017.
SYNAESTHESIA: What is the taste of the color Blue? was presented from September 23rd through November 25th at Building Bridges Art Exchange. This was the world’s first major art exhibition with aligned events focused on inherited synaesthesia. The exhibition was sponsored by IASAS and was part of a collaboration with Art Sci Center at UCLA.
Daniel helped manage all events at Building Bridges, was a Co-Producer on the SYNAESTHESIA Dance Experience: 4D Show and Producer on The Synaesthete Literary Event with Building Bridges and Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center as well as The Synaesthete Wine Tasting with synaesthete sommelier, Jamie Smith.
From January 10-14, 2018, SYNAESTHESIA: What is the taste of the color blue? was a special feature of the LA Art Show at the LA Convention Center and its interactive installations were enthusiastically received by the 75,000 visitors to the art show. Our scent expert, Daniel Krasofski, created a special scent for our exhibition at the LA Art Show. The Breath of Blue Trees.
In Addition, our partner, Art Sci Center at UCLA, also presented at the LA Art Show with live demonstrations of their spectacular interactive Octopus Brainstorming.
SYNAESTHESIA: What is the taste of the color blue? is slated to travel to major museums in the U.S. and around the world.
Daniel is working with Building Bridges to develop new major international exhibitions that explore the convergence of science and art and that will also travel to major museums in the U.S. and around the world.
